How To Pay

Fill in the payment slip for you and your guest(s). Payment should be made by check or voucher and placed in the payment envelope on the sign-in desk. DO NOT PUT CASH IN THE ENVELOPE.

What To Bring

The minimum items are a sleeping bag, pillow case, towel and flashlight.

Check-In Procedures

Upon arrival, all members and guests must sign the Member and Guest Register.

Each guest must sign a liability waiver (waiver forms are in the register book and are mailed in with payments.)

All rooms and bathrooms are co-ed. Beds or bedrooms may not be reserved in advance. Mark your bed assignment on the chalk board and sign up for a daily housekeeping chore when you arrive. Double beds are reserved for 2 people.

If you have to park behind another vehicle, please write your car brand and color next to your name on the board, so the person blocked can find you in the morning.

If you arrive late then use your flashlight in the bedroom rather than turning on the light. You would expect the same courtesy from others.

Guest Protocol

Guests must sign a waiver upon arrival. Waiver forms are found in the register.

You are responsible for your guests, and you may not leave your guests at the lodge unattended.

Never give the lodge combination to guests.

Guests are expected to do a daily clean-up task.

When making reservations, each member is guaranteed space for 1 guest, and space permitting, you may bring up to 3. If you wish to bring more than 3 guests, please contact the President or Past President to make arrangements.

Even though guests are the responsibility of the member who is hosting them, all members should be prepared to offer courteous guidance in the usage of the lodge.

Parking

Park as close as possible to the house and to other vehicles in the driveway. Do not park on the street since this may result in an expensive parking ticket. If you block another vehicle, please put your car brand and color on the bed assignment board.

Chores

It is the obligation for each lodge member and guest to perform a daily clean-up chore, listed in the Daily Lodge Maintenance sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

Bathrooms

To allow all occupants to use the bathrooms with minimum waiting in the morning, showers are permitted only after 10AM during ski season. Please do not lock the door. The inner shower/toilet door can be closed and locked, while still allowing access to the sinks.

Ski, Bike & Equipment Storage

Skis, snowboards & bikes must be stored in the garage, not the lodge. Do not carry equipment through the lodge. Use the garage door. Ski and snowboard boots are not to be worn in the lodge. A boot rack is provided in the downstairs hallway. Keep personal items in the bedrooms, and keep the communal areas tidy.

Lost And Found

A lost and found box is kept on a shelf near the dryer in the garage.

Gargage And Recycling

The garbage shed is located outside the garage. The garbage service does not remove the garbage cans from the dumpster - only the plastic bags, so always use garbage bags. Assorted recycling containers are in the garage.

Courtesy Tips

The general consensus of the membership is that the lodge should be a place for conversation, reading, and relaxing. For this reason, there is no TV. Personal video/DVD sets and video game players are also prohibited. If you wish to listen to music, then ask fellow members first before using the club-owned stereo or your own device, or best of all, use headphones. Quiet has priority over music, and consideration of all should be the guide.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7 a.m.

People are expected to resolve issues in a friendly or at least civil manner. No disturbance to other members and guests will be tolerated. However, should these standards be violated, members can file a complaint with the board.

Opening And Closing The Lodge

Procedures for opening and closing the lodge are posted on the bulletin board and on the back of the front door. Please read and follow the instructions carefully. The current combination for the front door is given to each member when they pay their dues at the beginning of the membership year. Never give this combination to anyone else, including guests.

The lodge's main furnace is set on an automatic timer. It should not be necessary to adjust the thermostat, unless you are the first person to arrive or the last to leave. (Refer to "opening and closing procedures" posted on the bulletin board & on the back of the front door.)

The lodge has a secondary heat source - the gas fireplace. The fireplace is operated by a control located behind the sign-in desk. The instructions are posted there. Be sure the lever is turned to the lowest setting before retiring for the night.

Miscellaneous Items

A washer & dryer are provided for the members. The washer is in the downstairs hallway, and the dryer is in the garage.

A plowing service removes most snow from the parking lot. However, members will still need to pitch in to shovel snow and ice from the walkway and steps as well as spread sand for safety. Equipment and sand are in the garage. If the driveway has not been plowed by the contractor after more than 8 inches of snow, please contact the lodge maintenance manager. If he is not available, contact any board member. Please do not contact the snow removal operator directly.

A phone is located in the vestibule outside the front door. You can call local and toll free numbers or use calling-cards. The phone line may not be used for internet access at any time.

Club members are encouraged to take care of small maintenance and supply problems on the spot. Other problems and supply shortages should be reported to the lodge maintenance manager.
